Central Denmark Representative Office, Shanghai is Central Denmark Region’s and Aarhus Municipality’s focal point of contact for all cooperation partners in Shanghai.

Current Activities:
• Rehab collaboration - Central Denmark Region and Shanghai Disabled Persons’ Federation have been collaborating in rehab field for six years. Both sides have learned a lot from each other through training, attending conferences and sending delegations etc. Read more here: rehabilitation collaboration

• MidtNet project – an 8 million DKK funding project from Central Denmark Region government for collaboration projects with Shanghai in the fields of IT, Life Science/Health and Environment/Energy from 2010 to 2013. Read more at MidtNet

• Signed Memorandum of Understanding between Aarhus University Hospital and Hua Shan and Yue Yang Hospitals in Shanghai within the areas of: PET neurology, neurosurgical residence programme, neuro nursing programme, acupuncture and neuroscience.

• Signed Memorandum of Understanding between Science and Technology Commission in Shanghai and Central Denmark Region within the areas of ICT, Energy/Environment and Health/Life Science.

• Long lasting co-operation with Shanghai Disabled Person’s Federation within the training sector.

Our activities:

  • To make full use of the good relationship with Shanghai Municipality Government that is generated via the sister-city agreement signed in 2003 and renewed in 2008.
  • To boost the existing co-operations that exist between players from both regions – such as cooperations within areas of bio-technology, nano-technology, neuro-technology, renewable energy, and rehabilitation within the handicap sector.
  • To identify new areas of cooperation between partners from both regions.
  • To facilitate delegation visits to Denmark and China.
  • To provide trend reports, business information and assistance to Danish and Chinese partners.
