Central Denmark Region participated in the Forum on Sustainable Development of Small and Medium-Sized Cities
On November 19th, 2009, Shanghai Municipal Development & Reform Commission and Shanghai Municipal Foreign Affairs Office hosted a Forum on Sustainable Development of Small and Medium-Sized Cities. Mr. Niels Kjølhede, an expert in urban planning and architecture was invited by Central Denmark Region to attend the forum with the presentation: “The Meaning of Context in Urban-and Landscape Planning”.
Officials from the Shanghai Municipal Government as well as professors, specialists and architects from Europe and America presented and discussed experiences in relation to new city development and planning. Besides that foreign participants visited two new towns in Shanghai representing two different development styles.
