CREXPO participation in Beijing

Central Denmark Region and Danish Rehab Group recently participated in the biggest exhibition for assistive devices in China, CREXPO. The combination of excellent assistive devices and long term relations to the Chinese Government institutions makes a good cocktail to do business in the growing Chinese rehabilitation market.

On November 4th-6th Bent Hansen (S) and Ulla Diderichsen (V) joined Care and Rehabilitation Exhibition (CREXPO) in Beijing together with nine Danish companies from Danish Rehab Group. Denmark was partnering country this year and Danish producers and Central Denmark Region shared the Danish pavilion. The “Central Denmark Region” booth conducted information materials about Central Denmark Region and Shanghais cooperation with in rehab training, lectures and study tours over the last years. The combination of excellent Danish assistive devices and Central Denmark Regions long and friendly cooperation with Shanghai government makes a good cocktail for opening doors to the Chinese marked for the Danish producers.

The exhibition did not only consist of booths and pavilions but also seminars and different meeting took place over the days. Bent Hansen was one of the key note speakers at “The Sino-Denmark Disabled and Elderly Social Service System” that not only promoted Central Denmark Region cooperation with Shanghai but also gave a general introduction to the Danish welfare system. The therapists from Central Denmark Region, Annemette Carstensen and Vivi Riber did a presentation at “The First International Assistive Device Personalizing and Evaluating Forum” with a quite big amount of participants.

Important visitors at the Danish Pavilion
During CREXPO days more than 90.000 people visited the exhibition. The Danish pavilion for sure got its share of attention. More important, the right people visited the Danish booths. That was honored chairman of China Disabled Persons Federation, Pufang Deng, son of former leader of China, Deng Xiaoping also the vice chairman of China Disabled Persons Federation, Wang Xinxian and not least Shanghai partners; director of Assistive Tools Center, Ms. Song from Shanghai Disabled Persons Federation.

More effort to open doors even wider
Central Denmark Region and Danish Rehab Group plan to join the coming rehab exhibition in Shanghai in spring 2012 with different kind of activities. Meanwhile the partners work to open doors even wider to the Chinese rehab market, for the benefits of Central Denmark Region´s producers and institutions.
